The Parable of Rich Fool

13. ○무리 중에 한 사람이 이르되 선생님 내 형을 명하여 유산을 나와 나누게 하소서 하니
Someone in the crowd said to him,/ "Teacher, tell my brother/ to divide the inheritance with me."
*divide 나누다, 분할하다  *inheritance 상속, 계승, 유산 [inhérətəns]  *inherit 물려받다

14. 이르시되 이 사람아 누가 나를 너희의 재판장이나 물건 나누는 자로 세웠느냐 하시고
Jesus replied,/ "Man, who appointed me a judge/ or an arbiter between you?"
*appoint 임명하다, 지명하다, 지정하다  *arbiter 중개인, 중재인, 판정자 [άːrbətər] = arbitrator [άːrbətrèitər] KJV divider

15. 그들에게 이르시되 삼가 모든 탐심을 물리치라 사람의 생명이 그 소유의 넉넉한 데 있지 아니하니라 하시고
Then he said to them,/ "Watch out!/ Be on your guard against all kinds of greed;/ life does not consist in an abundance of his possessions."
*watch out 조심하다  *Be on your guard against = Guard against 억제하다, 경계하다
*consist 이루어지다 (of), 존재하다 (in)  *abundance 풍부, abundanct(형) 풍부한
*greed 탐욕,욕심 greedy(형) 탐욕스러운  *possession 소유

16. 또 비유로 그들에게 말하여 이르시되 한 부자가 그 밭에 소출이 풍성하매
And he told them this parable:/ "The ground of a certain rich man/ yielded an abundant harvest.
*parable 비유(로 말하다) [pǽrəbl]  *yield 수확(하다) [jiːld]  *harvest 수확,추수

17. 심중에 생각하여 이르되 내가 곡식 쌓아 둘 곳이 없으니 어찌할까 하고
He thought to himself,/ `What shall I do?/ I have no place to store my crops.
*crops 작물, 수확, 곡물

18. 또 이르되 내가 이렇게 하리라 내 곳간을 헐고 더 크게 짓고 내 모든 곡식과 물건을 거기 쌓아 두리라
"Then he said,/ `This is what I'll do./ I will tear down my barns/ and build bigger ones,/ and there I will store my surplus grain.
*tear down (건물 등을) 헐다      *tear 눈물 [tiər] 찢다 [tεər]        *barn 헛간, 외양간
*surplus 잉여, 과잉, 흑자 [sə́ːrplʌs]

19. 또 내가 내 영혼에게 이르되 영혼아 여러 해 쓸 물건을 많이 쌓아 두었으니 평안히 쉬고 먹고 마시고 즐거워하자 하리라 하되
And I'll say to myself,/ "You have plenty of grain/ laid up for many years. Take life easy;/ eat, drink and be merry."
*grain 곡식            *lay up 저축하다(~ money), 비축하다
*take life easy 인생을 태평하게 여기다            *take it easy 편하게 생각하다

20. 하나님은 이르시되 어리석은 자여 오늘 밤에 네 영혼을 도로 찾으리니 그러면 네 준비한 것이 누구의 것이 되겠느냐 하셨으니
"But God said to him,/ `You fool!/ This very night/ your life will be demanded from you./ Then who will get /what you have prepared for yourself?
*demand 요구하다          *prepare for ~ 를 위해 준비하다

21. 자기를 위하여 재물을 쌓아 두고 하나님께 대하여 부요하지 못한 자가 이와 같으니라
"This is how it will be /with whoever stores up things for themselves/ but is not rich toward God."
*store up 쌓아두다

22. ○또 제자들에게 이르시되 그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 너희 목숨을 위하여 무엇을 먹을까 몸을 위하여 무엇을 입을까 염려하지 말라
Then Jesus said to his disciples:/ "Therefore I tell you,/ do not worry about your life, what you will eat;/ or about your body, what you will wear.
*disciple 제자 [disáipl]

23. 목숨이 음식보다 중하고 몸이 의복보다 중하니라
For life is more than food,/ and the body more than clothes.

*be more than ~ 이상이다, ~ 보다 중요하다
